2019-20 Hockey Season Information from ASM Global and Alaska Nanooks

Fairbanks, Alaska – The 2019-20 Alaska Nanooks men’s ice hockey season is officially underway following three-straight weeks on the road. The Nanooks return to their home ice arena, the Carlson Center, this weekend for a two-game Western Collegiate Hockey Association series against Bemidji State University this Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2.

Prior to puck-drop this weekend, there have been a few facility changes the UAF Department of Athletics and ASM Global would like fans to be aware of.

Southeast entrance is closed, please enter through the southwest or northeast entrances of the building.

The southeast entrance of the Carlson Club is the one located closest to the Fairbanks Curling Club on 2nd Avenue, alongside the players entryway to their locker room. In order to avoid congestion in this area and for the safety of players, staff, and game personnel, we have elected to close this entrance to the public.

The southwest entrance, also referred to as the “Main Entrance,” will be used for student ticket distribution and walk-up ticket sales. ASM Global has taken the actions necessary to increase staffing in this area to alleviate congestion.

New electric plug-ins for vehicles in the back parking lot. Thanks to a upgrade from the Fairbanks North Star Borough, the back parking lot now features electric outlets for vehicles to plug in throughout the winter months. For fans who choose to park in the back lot, ASM Global encourages fans to use the northeast entrance of the building, located up the stairs.

The northeast entrance includes three ticket windows for walk-up sales, a large lobby and the UAF Will Call window.

New promotions and ticket pricing announced for the 2019-20 season.

ASM Global and the Alaska Nanooks, in conjunction with various volunteers and organizations, have partnered up throughout the offseason to create a better, more engaging fan experience at the Alaska hockey games.

Several hockey games throughout the season will feature some sort of promotional activity or ticketing sale, starting with the Trick-or-Treat with the Nooks event this upcoming Friday, Nov. 1. All the promotional games are listed on the men’s ice hockey schedule page on alaskananooks.com.

Saturday night home game throughout the 2019-20 campaign will have the Family 4-Pack ticketing special available. The Family 4-Pack includes four general admission tickets to the game, four sodas and two large popcorns for $50. This offer is only available through the Carlson Center and Patty Center Box Offices.

Additionally, the Alaska Nanooks have created discounted ticket prices for seniors aged 60-or-older and all University of Alaska Fairbanks faculty, staff, and alumni. This is in addition to the existing ticketing discounts for youth and military. Ticket prices have also been discounted for the general admission balcony seating.
